In France :

The Malepère wines are very established in specialist wine & food stores. This is the result of dynamic marketing in the '80's, particularly in Paris & the Western region of France.

The quantities: source syndicat

From 10,000 hectolitres in 1985 to 20,000 hectolitres in 1990, the quantity declared by the appellation is today in the region of 32,000 hectolitres per year (average taken from the last 3 years of production).

The rise in market sales, coupled with the quality production that was undertaken by the wine producers prior to this, allows us to give a medium term forecast of an increase to 50,000 hectolitres.
