La Malepère consists of an exceptionnally eco-friendly environment, well known by botanists for its mixture of plants & bushes that are both mediterranean & oceanic, & which provide various essential oils.

This diverse environment is the result of la Malepères transitional climate. Here the dominating mediterranean influence, characteristic of the Languedoc, is strongly balanced by the humid oceanic effect that comes from the West.
