Since 1996 the producers have wished to give a new impetus to the appellation : A new identity was adopted after careful consideration by the producers in all areas of communication : logo, visuals, charts etc. The subscribing to the Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins du Languedoc was proposed to the producers. Their enthusiasm for the appellation was reinforced, & the goodwill established in order that the appellation may be upgraded to A.O.C.
